The work out accountability and more tales from the week

Okay so this week has been slightly interesting and busy to say the least. First my husband has decided to go on a work regime. To which he has asked me to keep him accountable for him working out. The first day, he did really well, because he did it all by himself I didnt have to do anything. Day two was a real fight because the second i caught him on his game it was ON. We had a nice little argument that ended with a thank you for doing what I asked you to and later an apology for yelling at me. Day three was easy a mechanic came over to fix our car, and jason walked to QT to get the money to pay him for the work that was done.  Days 4-6 well those were no goes because it was crazy busy. I am pretty sure that this week will a little different. Now for the other tales of the week. I have decided to take on the an interesting task of trying to do the chorus of a song in in sign language and in stop motion. I am also going to be doing a speach and the chorus of the same song in an auction in late May. I am doing my best to practice and work on projects  for homework for FINAL semester of class Amen to that! I had a blast last night working with a friend of mine to raise money for an autism service dog for her son. We had a table at the Thunder hockey game last night, and needless to say it went really well. Jason had a blast as well. This is the week before finals and I am making sure I have something to show for myself. I want to have the stop motion/sign project done, and my final project done too. There are alot of things I am going to be working this week and that includes getting ALL of my things done for the next week or two. I am so nervous about it too. AHHHH its both exciting and frustrating at the same time. This upcoming week is going to be so busy its not even funny. Ah the pregraduate jitters. Oh there is so much prep that needs to be done its not even funny. Ok its officially time to get my act in gear. With that being said I am going get off here and practice some more sign language for the auction and for the project along with some other stuff I need to get done. Later everyone.

Thanking God that I am alive, and survivors guilt!?

Okay last Saturday was defiantlya day to remember and not in a good way. Especially for the people  wichita in general. Last Saturday I went to clean a friends house for some extra money til Jason got paid, and I recieved a text from my husband telling me that my mother gave specific instruction to get as my a** home. I called up Jason asking him what was going on, and he said that my mom told me to get home asap because of the storms that heading to wichita. So after I got off the phone, I told my friend what was going on and headed home. I was home for an hour watching tv with jason and shortly after that, I heard the sirens go off. I knew that it wasnt the noon whistle even though it sounded the same so I told jason to turn it to channel 3 and it said Sedgwick County was under a Tornado Warning. Before I continue for those who dont know I do not do well with really bad storms and tornado warnings DO NOT help that situation. Any how continuing on with my story, as soon as they mentioned the warning i grabbed the kids and we went to my mothers house for the duration of the warning. Our house was not too far from where the storm was. What made it more frightening for us was that our house was also not that far from a massive tornado. This tornado literally ripped through wichita and in some areas and left other areas alone. Well thankfully, it did not touch our house. However it destroyed a mobile home park either destroying the home or tipping it over.  Not only did it rip through there it stopped and destroyed a couple of business as well. Insert irony here. There were three aircraft companies and an airforce base that touched by the tornado. I also noticed that right by the Dollar General store that is with in walking distance of had a building that was across from it, there was a building that was pretty much reduced to rubble. Unless that was like that before the storm, that is pretty bad. I had friends in Clearewater, that I was really worried about. One I am so extremely grateful that she was spared. I am very grateful to God for watching over her and her boys! My other friend I would guess that she was chasing the storm and getting pictures of it. Some of the buildings that I saw downtown looked like they had some minor damage while others that i did not see might have been destroyed. Again I am very thankful that I am alive and that my house was spared. As I am thankful that the people what were in the worst path of the storm survived as well. I just feel bad and somewhat guilty that we made it out okay while some of the people either made it out with their lives and still lost their home. From the news reports that I saw they were upset about the loss of their house but extremely grateful that they were still alive. The one story that I thought was cool, was when a family lost their home on their child's 5th birthday, but when they were going through the rubble they managed to find a wrapped birthday gift in the rubble. That I thought was one of the small silver linings of the disaster. All I have to say on this note, is that God is AWESOME! There are just not words other than that. I am sure that i have plenty more to say, but i am going to end it here for now. So later everyone.

Time to get crack the whip on school work

Today was a hectic and at the same time, very chaotic day. The girls have had a fun and busy holiday playing in the bounce houses, riding ponies, hunting easter eggs and seeing what toys the Easter Bunny has given them this year .you would think that they would tired right? Wrong. After all of this they still have energy to spair. So I am hoping that they go to sleep early. Today as I am so desperately trying to bust my butt on getting most if not all of my homework done. This is a struggle since the paper I am currently researching is not an easy one to research. I am trying my best to stay focused and not to fall asleep. I am also looking up ads for a project that i want to have atleast 97% done by Thurs. Oh how there is just too much to do and never enough time to do it all. When add housework and kids to the mix it can complicate matters even more.  I am really hoping and praying that I am able to get everything done with out any problems. I am really wanting to try and have something portfolio worthy by the end of this semsester. Especially since it is my final semester of classes ( yay finally). I know i can do good work, darn it I will bust my butt trying to prove it if necessary. Oh how i wish there was an easy button for all of this. Oh well i suppose life can't have too many easy button solutions, because if it did then there would be no challenges. Well then, bring on the challenges I am up for it. As for the homework, Game On. I will do my best to turn in my best. Today is just one of those maddening days where chaos is trying to get the best of my focus. Well I have news for old mr. chaos, "I WILL NOT be thwarted!" I have the internet up and at my disposal for the research of both my project and my paper. If i am not able to get my homework completely finished, I am at the very least willing to attempt to put a good sized dent in it. After there is atleast one part of my homework that will be easier to do than the other. I may be awake til the wee hrs of the night but it will get a good dent. The final fill of the project is making the plushie bot, and I still need to get the fabric for it and I cant get it til wednessday at the earliest. Ugh its going to take a while but I will have something I can be proud of by the end of this semester. Well I am going to sign off for now.
