30 days of thankfulness days 7 and 8

I know I am behind life is doing its best to get me down and slow me down and I fighting like crazy to not let it get me down. So again with out further ado let me present to you days 7 and 8.

Day 7 November 7,2015
Today I have quite a few things that I am thankful for. I am thankful for friends who help me let me vent even if it is about stools and the consistency of it. I have a really good friend who has listened to me vent about my husbands diarrhea issue. It never seemed to gross her out and she even helped with some ideas of how to help firm it up. I know that hearing about it is gross and not the most wanted thing to listen to but no matter how bad or gross it got she still listened and to an extent she helped me calm down a bit as well. She has been and is a rockstar for listening to me rant about it.

I am also thankful for food. Yes after a little over a month, we were approved for foodstamps to get some actual healthy and more filling food in the house. We were able to get some milk and few other things before we officially went grocery shopping. I am so grateful for God's mercy on that one and that it was the one thing that was needed to give. I have been praying that something was going to have to give and did. I am so thankful for that.

I am also thankful for a night with just me and Jason. My girls were staying over night with their brother. It was nice to enjoy a night of peace and quiet. Although it was a bit stressful because of the whole diarrhea issue. I am still grateful for being able to spend time with him.

Day 8 November 8, 2015
Today I am thankful for and awesome friend who helped me stay grounded, sane and help me find humor in this whole mess. Even if it is the smallest amount of humor it helped. Currently my sanity is almost non existant. Trying to figure out if Jason is getting better or now what is causing his issues how to fix said issues etc. She gave me one thing to tell myself and that its not icy hot on the nuts. It does help, but as of right its back and forth.

I am also thankful for God. He has been listening to me rant, rave, show my anger, frustration, worry, listening to me vocalize how stressed out Jason's diarrhea has made me. He has heard my cry etc and even the slightest bit of peace that he has given has helped me so much. Right I am just praying to God that Jason gets over this crap and is done with it soon. I am so worried about him and hope that he is over it soon so we dont need to get him looked at.
Well that is all for now I will talk to you later.

30 days of thankfulness and blessings days 4,5, and 6

I know that I am a little behind there has been a little bit of stress this week. But that is for another discussion. So with out further delay I am going to get started.
 Day 4  11-4-2015
Today I am thankful for the two days of orientation I did and got paid for. Although it may not be a lot, I am grateful for the little amount of paycheck that I get. It is a start and I am grateful that I have it to help out. I am grateful that God is taking care of us and holding us in his hands and is taking care us. I know he has plan and I am trying really hard to trust in his plan.

Day 5 November 5, 2015
Today I am thankful for my husband and him wanting to cuddle. He has been very cuddly today and I am glad that he is wanting to cuddle even if he is sick. I feel really bad that my mind is focused on him getting better and not enjoying it. I am also grateful for awesome classmates that helped me study for the lab practical and helped me fill in what I missed so I can study it.

Day 6 November 6, 2015
Today I am very thankful my wonderful husband. Jason is so amazing, I felt awful this morning because I didnt feel like an awesome wife because when he wanted to cuddle last night I was so distant and felt disconnected I didnt even enjoy it. He didnt hold against me, he just joked about it. I am so grateful for him and my kids they are so amazing. I am also grateful for wonderful friends that are like family to me, God's amazing grace, peace, love, wisdom, strength and mercy. God has been and is continuing to be so amazingly awesome. He is holding us in his hands and is helping me have peace over our money issues. He is just awesome! I am so grateful, for God. One last thing I am thankful for is coffee and spark. Both are awesome because they are both very helpful. One is the boost and the other helps keep me going. With that  I am going to get going so I can finish working on a scarf and get some Christmas gifts made and ready to send off.

Long time LOTS of thoughts.

I know that I have been gone a while. I have had a lot going on. Work, school, lots of family stuff going on. Any how I have some thoughts. I know who doesnt right lol. Well anyway, I was watching a couple of clips on the view about Gwyneth Paltrow's food stamp challenge that she did. Was going to show the video but the code would not show anything but the coding on my blog:/ Any ways onto my thoughts.
I agree with her. For one it is really hard to feed family of 3, 4 or 5 people on food stamps. My family is on food stamps, and it is NOT easy to feed every one or make sure that we have enough food in the house. My kids eat A LOT I could have this house well stocked, and it could be gone in less than a month. Trust me been there done that lots of times. Feeding my family for $29 a week. Well believe me it is a lot harder than most think. I have gone to Aldi's and bought what would seem to be a lot food, and it may last a week sometimes less. We have to do what we call meal counting which is trying to find affordable sometimes quick meals that may or may not last the amount of days they are supposed to. That doesnt always mean that these meals will be healthy either. Believe me I wish they were. We do our very best to try and make sure that the meals we get are both healthy and filling. Do we always succeed? NO. We don't in fact most of the time it is a close second to healthy and more on the filling side. I also agree that if the government really wants to know how hard it is to ask the families who are actually on the foodstamp or wellfare program. I will tell you right now, that it is extremely difficult. I do wish that both the democrats and republicans should try the challenge to see for themselves how difficult it is.  On the coupon comment. I agree 100% it darn near difficult for me to go up to Dillon's Walmart or anywhere else and use coupons and not have people look at me like what is my issue or like i am poor. It is hard to tell my kids that they cant have things because I dont have the money. In fact I had a discussion with my kids about this earlier today. Jason and I do our best to make sure our kids have the best. We work as much as we can. I work I go to school, I sell advocare products and make and sell hand made crochet items. I am making some of their clothing items socks, etc. The point of the matter is that we are doing our best to get by. It is hard, sometimes very stressful, painful etc. Jason and I are not quitters. In fact we are fighters and will always be. On that note I am going to end my rant here before I continue on.

Changes

A lot has been going on lately. I have been advocare distributor for about 4 months. If any you all like you can check out my site at advocare.com/140337213. Recently I took and advocare 24 day challenge. The results are in: I lost 7 inches off of my waist, 3 inches off my hips and 1 inch off my thigh. I have gained a lot more energy as well. I feel so good and I am hoping to continue the challenge as soon as I can. The challenge is so worth every penny. If you would like to learn more about the challenge or how to get it for a discount I will be more than happy to help. I have pics of before during and after for the results. There may be a couple of duplicates.
In other news, I have also enrolled in school to go back again for nursing so I can get my RN. I am still currently waiting for my financial aide to be cleared so I can start and now have to worry about payments. I have also been in orientation for a sitter position at the hospital. I float from all the Via Christi hospitals as sitter. Yup lots of changes in deed as well as me:) I am very excited about. I am praying that it all works itself out, as well as my advocare business. So far so good. Well I better get off here so  I can get my house in order. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Done

It is a very sad day in my mind when I cant trust people.  My dad to this day still tells me that a person's word is the strongest form of trust. So when you trust a person to watch your kids, you trust them to be there with until you return from where ever you went to. That is why I am writing this specific blog. Last night while I was at work, my husband sent me a text saying that the car broke down. Well he texted our sitter to ask her to pick him up so he could get home and watch the kids. Thinking that she took my kids with her to pick him Jason waited for her to get there. She never showed. She left, but not with our kids. No instead she went home and left my young children at home by themselves with one of them still awake. By the time we were able to get home they were asleep, but again NO ONE was here to watch them. My girls woke up later that night scared and it took a while for them to go back to sleep. I am thankful that God was watching over both them and us last night. There is no telling what could have happened. I don't even want to try and think about it.On that note all I have to say now is that I am done! I am at a point where I don't think I can trust very many people now. I can't even say who some of my real friends are. It makes me sad and frustrated to say that, being that this person was supposed to be my friend. I am done. What kind of friend leaves their friends young children at home by themselves I mean really.  I could have lost my girls. I am very grateful for the people who I still trust, even though its not a lot. Well that is all for now I am going to get off here so I can rest before work. Later all.

a quick post

Below is a poem I found on facebook. That to me says to societies view what Christmas is to them. It is so sad how society commercializes Christmas. I really like the poem its perfect.

~ The Week Before Christmas Poem 'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the town, Not a sign of Baby Jesus, was anywhere to be found. The people were all busy with Christmas time chores, Like decorating, and baking, and shopping in stores. No one sang, "Away in a manger, no crib for a bed." Instead, they sang of Santa, dressed up in bright red. Mama watched Martha Stewart, Papa drank from a tap. As hour upon hour the presents they'd wrap. Then what from the TV did they suddenly hear? An ad, which told of a big sale down at Sears. So away to the mall they all flew like a flash, Buying some things on credit, and others with cash! And, as they made their way home from their trip to the mall, Did they think about Jesus? Oh, no, not at all. Their lives were so busy with their Christmas time things, They had no time to remember Christ Jesus, the King. There were presents to wrap and cookies to bake. How could they stop and remember the One who died for their sake? To pray to the Savior, they had no time to stop. Because they needed more time to "Shop till they drop!" On Wal-mart! On K-mart! On Target! On Penney's! On Hallmark! On Zales! A quick lunch at Denny's! From the big stores downtown to the stores at the mall, They would dash away, dash away, and visit them all! And up on the roof, there arose such a clatter, As grandpa hung icicle lights, using his brand new step ladder. He hung lights that would flash. He hung lights that would twirl. Yet, he never once prayed, to Jesus, the Light of the World. Christ's eyes--how they twinkle! Christ's Spirit--how merry! Christ's love--how enormous! All of our burdens--He'll carry! ~ So instead of being busy, overworked, and uptight. Let's put CHRIST back in CHRISTmas, and enjoy a good night. *God bless and keep sharing the Good News !!! ~ C4C

30 days of thankfulness days 26-30

To begin I know it is December and I know I am late but I am going to finish the remaining 4 days of this series. So here it goes.

Day26
I am thankful for having three days of rest to get ready for a long 6 straight days of work.  I got to have a really good three day weekend. Enough time to rest and do what I enjoy so I can feel rested enough to have a crazy work week.

Day 27
I am thankful for time to sleep in. My kids are off from school for the rest of the week due to Thanksgiving.  So on that note, I am getting sleep in a little more for a change. To me this is a wonderful thing, because I can be ready for the day. It may not be sleeping until 10 or 11 but it is enough for me to feel rested and relaxed.

Day 28
I am thankful for a cheat week. Today is Thanksgiving and it is also my youngest daughter's birthday. To me this is the perfect time to have a cheat week. MMMM turkey, stuffing, all the yummy Thanksgiving foods and this year birthday cake and cupcakes. The downer I have to work, but on that same note, I got to have time and a half for working it so it makes it MUCH better. Besides, I had two people saving me a plate which makes it much better. I also got birthday party pics and bday cupcakes. All of which, which made today so awesome in a way.

Day 29
Today I am thankful for thanksgiving leftovers. Yes, leftovers. A friend of mine brought me some amazing left overs. Stuffed mushrooms and deviled eggs. She was not able to bring me left overs to work so she brought them the next day. They were really good and I asked for more lol. I have not had stuffed mushrooms in a LONG time. Those mushrooms hit the spot and felt good to eat. It was a really good way to get something to eat before work. Those along with other left overs. They were really good.

Day 30
For the final day of this series I would like to say that I am thankful for good friends and being two days closer to a day off. I had to work today, and needed a ride to work. Well I asked a friend of mine if she would be able to give me a ride to work today and Sunday. Well thankfully she was able to. One reason I am thankful is that she brought me lunch for both day that she brought me to work. They were really good. Thanksgiving meal left overs on Saturday which was just amazing. And a tasty leftover turkey sandwich. She is just a wonderful friend I think and for that I am really thankful for her. I am also thankful for being two days closer to a day off. As this long week winds down, it gets closer for me to have and actual day off for the first time in a while. I am getting tired and really thankful that its closer to Monday in which I am off work that and even a day of rest is a LOT better then not getting any rest. For that I am really thankful.

As a conclusion I have a lot to be thankful for this past month, and some of which is not posted but just so very much to be grateful that God has blessed me with. He has continued to bless me with. So thank you God for giving me so thank you God for everything you have blessed me with.
