Thanking God that I am alive, and survivors guilt!?

Okay last Saturday was defiantlya day to remember and not in a good way. Especially for the people  wichita in general. Last Saturday I went to clean a friends house for some extra money til Jason got paid, and I recieved a text from my husband telling me that my mother gave specific instruction to get as my a** home. I called up Jason asking him what was going on, and he said that my mom told me to get home asap because of the storms that heading to wichita. So after I got off the phone, I told my friend what was going on and headed home. I was home for an hour watching tv with jason and shortly after that, I heard the sirens go off. I knew that it wasnt the noon whistle even though it sounded the same so I told jason to turn it to channel 3 and it said Sedgwick County was under a Tornado Warning. Before I continue for those who dont know I do not do well with really bad storms and tornado warnings DO NOT help that situation. Any how continuing on with my story, as soon as they mentioned the warning i grabbed the kids and we went to my mothers house for the duration of the warning. Our house was not too far from where the storm was. What made it more frightening for us was that our house was also not that far from a massive tornado. This tornado literally ripped through wichita and in some areas and left other areas alone. Well thankfully, it did not touch our house. However it destroyed a mobile home park either destroying the home or tipping it over.  Not only did it rip through there it stopped and destroyed a couple of business as well. Insert irony here. There were three aircraft companies and an airforce base that touched by the tornado. I also noticed that right by the Dollar General store that is with in walking distance of had a building that was across from it, there was a building that was pretty much reduced to rubble. Unless that was like that before the storm, that is pretty bad. I had friends in Clearewater, that I was really worried about. One I am so extremely grateful that she was spared. I am very grateful to God for watching over her and her boys! My other friend I would guess that she was chasing the storm and getting pictures of it. Some of the buildings that I saw downtown looked like they had some minor damage while others that i did not see might have been destroyed. Again I am very thankful that I am alive and that my house was spared. As I am thankful that the people what were in the worst path of the storm survived as well. I just feel bad and somewhat guilty that we made it out okay while some of the people either made it out with their lives and still lost their home. From the news reports that I saw they were upset about the loss of their house but extremely grateful that they were still alive. The one story that I thought was cool, was when a family lost their home on their child's 5th birthday, but when they were going through the rubble they managed to find a wrapped birthday gift in the rubble. That I thought was one of the small silver linings of the disaster. All I have to say on this note, is that God is AWESOME! There are just not words other than that. I am sure that i have plenty more to say, but i am going to end it here for now. So later everyone.
